Floda Gård is much more than a lodging facility located in a picturesque village in a valley surrounded by the Härjedalen Mountains. It is nestled among Vemdalsskalet, Björnrike, and Storhogna.

We have 40 hectares/90 acres of property just outside of Vemdalen, Sweden. It includes land of several types which supports many varieties of plant and animal life. Feel free to wander through the wooded areas and even to pick some berries in the summer and fall.

If you choose to stroll into the village of Vemdalen, you will cross the Veman River which runs adjacent to Floda Gård and can be used for fishing, boating, or canoeing. Other spectacular sites can be viewed along the way.

Some excellent snowmobile paths and cross-country ski paths either begin at Floda Gård or nearby. Plus you can explore and make your own way. In other seasons, these same roads and paths make wonderful treks.

Probably the most popular and well known of the activities here, would be the Islandic Horses that have pastured here at Floda Gård. They were used for riding tours during the late fall and throughout the winter, but now the tours are conducted by others.
